The Live Party - Unified Records

Day Six - Sunday, March 30
Venue:  Gem Nightclub

Yes, i missed the awesome boat party that King Britt and Rich Medina spun at earlier in the day. I had to take a nap otherwise i would of never made it to the LIVE party. The venue for this party was amazing. There were three rooms and each room was packed with people. I don’t get to see a lot of live bands play house music. I was glad i got to hear Steal Vybe, the band was awesome!

Overall, I don’t think there were as many people as there usually is in miami this year. Everything was also super expensive. Hotels and clubs definitely take advantage of WMC by jacking stuff way up. But you know what, I HAD A BLAST!!! I met a bunch of new people, I made tons of contacts for Hoochie Productions and i got to hang out with some of my favorite peeps.  And the best part of the whole experience was that i got to hear the music I love so much for six days and nights!

So will I come back next year? Well, I would really like to check out http://www.southportweekender.co.uk/ next year.  But YES, I will most definitely be back to South Beach on 2009.

3 Degrees Record Tag Team Party

Day Six - Sunday, March 30
Venue:  Asian Restaurant on Lincoln

Sunday was the last day of parties in Miami. Woke up and went to this delicious Crepes place in Espanola Way with my good friend Chinkara. Then we headed off to the 3 Degrees Record Tag Team Party (not sure if this is the official name for it). I attended this party last year and loved the dynamics of having numerous dj’s tag team through the day. The venue was kind of hard to find, but eventually we found it. It kind of sucked that you had to be inside but i had gotten more than enough sun already so i was contempt. I was happy that i got to hear Julius spin, since he is one of my favorites (as you can tell i have many favorites). This was the only year where i only saw him spin once. I got to also hear Chang, Ian Friday, Mario Romay and Rafael Moraes. Good time with good friends and good music. I couldn’t think of a better way to end my last day of parties on South Beach.
